New Directions College has been recognised for the high quality and standard of its team leading and management apprenticeship provision by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM).
The College’s high pass rate and number of distinctions were highlighted by ILM as a key reason for presenting the college with this prestigious ‘excellence in apprenticeships’ award.
In writing to the College prior to her visit, Morice Hole, EPA Partnership Manager, City & Guilds/ILM, who personally delivered the plaque to the College, wrote:
“I am delighted to let you know that as a result of the high quality and standard of your ILM apprenticeship provision, we would like to present to you and your College a personalised plaque that you can feature within your training premises.
We have analyzed our data and, due to the high pass rate and number of distinctions at your Centre, we are pleased to provide an “Excellence in EPA delivery” plaque in recognition of your services. We hope that you will feature this proudly on your premises to showcase the quality of your training and delivery”.
Andrea Wood, Adult Learning & Skills Manager for Reading Borough Council and Principal and New Directions College commented:
This amazing recognition is very well deserved by the team of staff who work hard to deliver outstanding apprenticeships on behalf of the College. New Directions is fairly new to the apprenticeship market and we, like many providers, have been on a journey to ensure we deliver high quality throughout, especially at end point assessment. It is rare for a small adult and community college to be recognised in this way and I am exceptionally proud of the team, our apprentices and our employers for what they have achieved.
