Come and join us as we explore the delights of Reading Museum through drawing. Each session will focus on a different aspect of the museum collection.

These informal tutor lead sessions will help you develop your observational drawing skills, with prompts from the tutor you will try various techniques to complement your own unique style. Bring along your sketchbooks and drawing materials to enjoy a morning of drawing and discussion.

About Reading Museum

Drawing on location classesReading Museum is located inside Reading Town Hall, one of the town’s most distinctive historic landmarks. Reading Museum has provided award-winning opportunities for learning, inspiration and enjoyment since 1883.

Collections include archaeology, art, natural history, ethnography and objects relating to Reading. The museum is free to enter, and activities for children and families are available all year round. There are regular holiday activity programmes and a wide range of tours and workshops throughout the year.

 

How to find the Museum

Reading Museum is located in the Town Hall, opposite the rear entrance of Marks & Spencer. The entrance is via glass doors on Blagrave Street, a two minute walk from the railway station and main bus stops. There is no parking on site.
