HM The King’s Official Birthday Honours List has been announced (15.6.24), marking the incredible public service of individuals from across the UK.
Andrea Wood has been the Principal of New Directions College since August 2020. New Directions College is the largest Adult and Community Learning provider in Berkshire and is built on a 66-year history of providing adult and community learning in Reading and supports over 1600 adults annually across the borough.
Andrea is recognised as an outstanding leader who has led the service to be an essential partner, in supporting Reading’s post-pandemic recovery and economic cost of living crisis.
Through securing growth, improving standards, and providing outstanding leadership locally, regionally, and nationally, Andrea is recognised as a key innovator and influencer across the further education, skills, and employment landscape, dedicated to improving life chances and outcomes for all through social and economic prosperity.
